Precision Linear ActuatorsHigh end actuators in many forms using a variety of different drive technologies to enable high speed, precise positioning and heavy load capacity. DC and stepper motors offer micrometer resolution and different velocities. Piezo linear motors offer nanometer resolution and very high forces. These motors can be equipped with linear encoder for absolute accuracy. Ultrasonic piezomotors offer high speeds up to 500 mm/s, these motors offer easy integration and compact form factor for OEM customers. Most models can be adjusted for Vacuum applications.
All models provide sub-micrometer resolution. Higher precision models are equipped with non-rotating tips. Stepper and closed-loop DC-Servo motors are offered with direct drives with ball screws provide higher speed, gear-box drives with lead screws provide higher forces and are self-locking. Typical travel range is 5 mm up to 50 mm, some special offer longer strokes.
PiezoWalk® non-resonant piezo stepping motors can provide much higher resolution (to Picometers) and forces (to 600 N) than other types of piezo motors. They generate motion through succession of coordinated clamp/unclamp of several actuators. PILine® ultrasonic ceramic motors are based on a novel, patented drive principle and provide extremely high speeds and accelerations in a very compact package. They are self-locking at rest, inherently non-magnetic and vacuum compatible. All linear drives and motors are intended for integration into a customer’s system and feature no guidance.
