Detecting IR-electromagnetic radiation
An IR-Detector is a sensor that registers light or other electromagnetic energy in the infrared wavelength region. There are several material types and technologies to detect and measure light in this domain, all with their specific characteristics.
Nanor offers high-performance IR-Detectors based on InGaAs, known for low noise and high sensitivity, and PbS/PbSe used for a wider spectral range with highest sensitivity.

Field of use
IR-detectors are becoming more available as the cost is decreasing with time being able to use in a broader application base. Typical industrial applications include gas analysis, spectroscopy, emission monitoring, medical devices, and process control. Heat imaging and detection, as well as flame and fire detection devices, are common use of IR-detectors in our everyday life.
